Rhea Bhat
Rhea Bhat is a junior at Darien High School in Darien, Connecticut. Rhea was first
introduced to SADD the summer of her 8 th grade year when she attended her
school’s SADD meeting as a guest speaker to talk about her personal ordeal with
distracted driving. Her local SADD chapter gave her the platform to launch her
campaign: RHEAlize the Danger, a campaign to help spread awareness and educate
people about distracted driving. Through SADD, Rhea has spoken at multiple
events in the tri-state area. She was a part of the 2019-2020 TextLess Live More
Engagement Board, took part in SADD SPEAKs 2020, and is now excited for her time
on the Student Leadership Council. In addition, Rhea is the secretary for her local
chapter. Rhea hopes to leverage this platform to reach out to a larger audience
and make a difference. In addition to her dedication to SADD, Rhea teaches coding
to young children, is an avid dancer, and is a part of her school debate team.
